Biolytix is a service company specialized in gene expression as well as microbiological and molecular biological analysis of water, animal feed and food products . More than one million samples have been analyzed in their laboratories in Witterswil, Switzerland. They work with national and international, municipal and private, industrial and academic clients. We designed a new identity and website that reflect the specialized focus of the firm.

The logo symbol highlights the firm’s field of expertise. When zooming in the Swiss cross can be found in the symbol. The look & feel of the brand is in generally strict and streamlined.

A set of pictograms were created to illustrate the different services and to balance the otherwise heavy text content. The identity makes use of a clean colour palette that consists of blue accompanied by a variety of complimentary shades of grey. Not fifty, only three.

The website is organised into a 3-column layout that displays the text-heavy information in a modern and more interesting way, giving the visitor a sense of discovery.
